DORSET HOUSE RE-OPENS FOR 2012

The management staff of Dorset House are excited and delighted to announce that our hostel backpacker accommodation will re-open on Monday 05 March 2012.

Yes, you can book your room today! 

All repairs have been completed to a very high standard, and the house has been strengthened  - it's also being fully redecorated. Boutique charm at budget accommodation prices.

• Share dorm rooms (no bunks!)
• Private single rooms
• All beds are fully made

As always there is plenty of light and space, FREE WiFi access, late check-in, car-parking, kitchen, laundry and guest lounge facilities. Minx the cat will be back on her chair too. 

Dorset House offers centrally located accommodation: 

• 30 seconds walk to leafy, green Hagley Park
• 8 minutes walk along the park to the Canterbury Museum & Botanic Gardens
  
• 3 minutes walk to the Christchurch Festival and Events Village
• There's a great pizza restaurant and an Indian Curry restaurant at the end of our street (1 minute walk)
• Quirky shops on Victoria St - Vic's Cafe is famous (have an iced chocolate!) and we can see it from our front door
• Also close to the Merivale and Riccarton shopping and restaurant areas (supermarkets, restaurants, bars, pubs)

• The Airport bus is a 2 minute walk away
• Public buses will take you all over the city 
• Intercity bus depot is nearby (7 minute walk) for your national bus connections

Our staff will be pleased to help with your travel questions. Chrischurch is recovering and there's still plenty to do in the Garden City.
